
About Dr. Ayers
Background
Dr. Ayers received her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University at
Albany. She also earned a University Certificate in School Psychology
and has had advanced training in critical incident stress and post
trauma syndromes from the Critical Incident Stress Foundation. She
has trained in hypnosis with the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the
National Register for Health Service Providers in Psychology
She holds three professional licenses from New York State:
Psychologist, School Psychologist, and Secondary School Teacher.
She is the author of
- Teenage Girls: A Parent’s Survival Manual, 1993
- The Answer Is Within You: Psychology, Women’s Friendships &
Breast Cancer, 1994
- How to Protect Kids from Child Molesters, with Ed Girtler 2007.
